Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning sessions to develop and implement plans that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of program managers to ensure the successful delivery of programs and operations.
- Operational Planning: Prepare, maintain, and report on unit operational plans, including strategic, tactical, budgetary, utilization, and profitability of unit operations.
- Financial Management: Assist with managing budget, including profit and loss responsibility, and may manage vendor relationships.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review monthly billing reports for client invoicing and provide analysis and recommendations for improvement.
- Client Management: Project strategic management and client account management to drive business growth and revenue.
- Collaboration and Communication: Participate in the enhancement of the overall business, including forecasting, new business development, internal and external communication, efficiencies, staffing, and client services.
- Performance Management: Develop performance standards for business unit managers and measure success against performance standards.
- Proposal Development: Assist with proposal writing, contracting, client presentations, and pricing.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay abreast of industry trends and important pending legislation impacting our business.
- Resource Management: Identify and collaborate with internal and external resources and experts to drive business success.
- Staffing and Development: Develop plans for structuring and staffing of unit and review and revise plans based on changes in demand.
- Leadership and Development: Provide on-going management, annual performance reviews, objective setting, and training plans for all direct reports.
- Quality and Risk Management: Identify areas for risk and foster proactive, continued quality improvement.
- Education: University science/healthcare degree, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in pharmaceutical or biotech industry, minimum 2 years' experience in management, and minimum 1-2 years client management experience.
- Skills: Strong business and financial acumen, strategic thinker, influential on client needs, strong analytical and mathematical skills, ability to communicate effectively, and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Language: Bilingual (French/English) an asset.
- Industry Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry.
