About the Role

The Canada Kitchen team at Amazon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Vendor Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Vendor Management team, you will play a critical role in driving value, selection, and convenience across our business.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Category Profit and Loss Management: You will be responsible for managing the profit and loss of our categories, ensuring that we are maximizing revenue and minimizing costs.
  2. Vendor Negotiations: You will work closely with our vendors to negotiate contracts and agreements that benefit both parties.
  3. New Product Launches: You will be responsible for launching new products into our market, working closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth and successful launch.
  4. Ownership of Key Business Functions: You will be responsible for owning and managing key business functions such as pricing, selection, and profitability.
  5. Defining Growth Strategies: You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to define growth strategies for our vendors and categories.
Requirements
  1. 3+ Years of Experience with Excel: You must have experience with Excel and be able to analyze and interpret large data sets.
  2. 3+ Years of Retail, Operations, Product or Program Management Experience: You must have experience in retail, operations, product or program management, with a focus on negotiations and delivering results.
  3. Experience with Financial Analysis and P&L Ownership: You must have experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership, with a focus on driving revenue and minimizing costs.
  4. Bachelor's Degree: You must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Experience Managing Large Data Sets: You must have experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements.
  2. Experience in Vendor Negotiations, Pricing and Promotion, Inventory Management, and Product Development: You must have experience in vendor negotiations, pricing and promotion, inventory management, and product development.
