About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Portfolio Manager to join our team at Canada Life. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in enhancing our Portfolio Management and Governance service through ongoing improvement efforts.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading monthly financial forecasting and variance analysis across multiple technology portfolios, coordinating and facilitating data collection and synthesis, and collaborating with leaders at all levels to develop long-range, strategic goals for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly financial forecasting and variance analysis across multiple technology portfolios.
  • Coordinate and facilitate data collection and synthesis.
  • Collaborate with leaders at all levels to develop long-range, strategic goals for our organization.
  • Support the assessment, strategy development, and planning associated with new capabilities, new improvement initiatives, and other strategic efforts.
  • Support the Director on operational reviews and ad hoc projects, or presentation development.
  • Provide guidance on organizational strategy, scorecards, and metric design.
  • Responsible for analyzing and synthesizing data, and making related recommendations; producing technical and general reports, articles, graphics, dashboards, and/or other layouts for documents to present information and facilitate data-driven decision making.
  • Support the planning, development, and implementation of portfolio management and governance information technology solutions, principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Support the development of a knowledge management framework.
