Job Summary

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team in Vancouver, BC. As a Social Worker with our organization, you will have the opportunity to provide advanced clinical and consultative social work services to clients and families, focusing on how the client's relationships are affected by their environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct social and psychosocial assessments to identify client needs and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, family, and group counseling services to clients, promoting healthy relationships and coping strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed client records, attending interdisciplinary clinical/case conferences as needed.
  • Identify and connect clients with relevant community resources, facilitating care throughout the continuum.
Requirements
  • Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers (BCCSW).
  • Master of Social Work from an accredited School of Social Work and one (1) year post-Bachelor of Social Work experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Valid BC Driver's License may be required for local area travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Broad knowledge of systems thinking as it relates to social work process.
  • Broad knowledge of other health disciplines and their role in healthcare.
  • Broad knowledge of research methodology.
  • Broad knowledge of counseling skills and clinical practice models.
  • Broad knowledge of family, group, and change therapy.
  • Broad knowledge of legislation and government policies and procedures that relate to the client.
