**Job Summary:**

As a Primary Care Physician with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), you will be part of an inter-disciplinary team working with clients who have acute mental health needs.

You will provide comprehensive assessments, diagnose diseases, disorders, and conditions, including substance use disorders, and develop treatment plans that include healthcare management, therapeutic interventions, and prescribing medications.

Your role will involve collaborating with other health professionals, participating in interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring a smooth transition from and to appropriate community health services.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  • Experience in a community health setting, preferably working with marginalized populations;
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of an inter-professional health care team;
  • Commitment to healthcare quality improvement with relevant experience or training;
  • Ability to perform the full scope of Primary Care Physician duties and responsibilities;
  • Ability to apply knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics to prescribing and evaluating treatment responses.

**Salary and Benefits:**

The estimated salary for this position is around $250,000 per year, based on the location and industry standards.
