Job Title: Customer Support Advisor - Material Handling

Brandt is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Customer Support Advisor - Material Handling to join our team in Edmonton. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting and selling material handling parts and service, as well as providing exceptional after-sales support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospect and develop new business opportunities through regular customer visits and cold calls.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, resolving issues and growing customer loyalty through effective communication and follow-up.
  • Meet and exceed sales revenue objectives and profit goals set by the branch.
  • Implement a yearly territory plan, including a customer target list and regular progress updates.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records, including sales meetings, opportunities, quotes, and notes.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement new marketing strategies to expand our customer base.
  • Ensure accurate inventory control and maintain a clean and well-maintained company vehicle.
  • Provide competitive product and pricing information to the Parts Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Journeyman ticket as a heavy-duty mechanic and/or parts person is an asset.
  • Previous sales experience in the material handling industry is required.
  • Ability to travel within the territory and work flexible hours is essential.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract are required.
  • Positive and professional attitude to both internal and external challenges is necessary.
  • Strong understanding of specialized material handling equipment and industry is required.
  • Excellent time management and people skills, with a high desire to serve customers and nurture relationships.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, make decisions, complete tasks under pressure, and cooperate with team members who may have different focus and priorities.
  • Proficient skills with basic computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
