About the Role

Mitel is seeking a highly motivated and organized Senior Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own all aspects of the accounting cycle for a comprehensive set of balance sheet accounts, including the preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Organize the workload and provide training for two junior general accountants based in India.
  • Prepare financial reports and management reporting packages.
  • Act as the main point of contact for questions related to balance sheet accounts.
  • Work closely with off-site accountants and business primes to investigate their requirements and be a conduit for the flow of information with Corporate.
  • Maintain up-to-date policies and procedures and assist with process improvement.
  • Provide year-end audit support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 3+ years accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS – ASPE).
  • Knowledge of US or Canadian GAAP.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP, Blackline and/or Business Intelligence.
  • Strong computer skills - ability to learn several ERP systems and reporting tools quickly.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
Preferred Skills
  • Bilingual in English & German, French, Spanish, or Italian.
  • Accounting Designation such as CPA.
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
