Baker Tilly is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in Ottawa. As a trusted business advisor, you will play a key role in providing exceptional client service and working collaboratively with our partners, managers, and staff to achieve our objectives.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Completing Notice to Reader engagements, corporate and personal income tax returns, and general accounting tasks with precision and accuracy.
  • Providing value-added services to our small to medium-sized clients, identifying and resolving engagement issues, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Developing and maintaining positive and productive working relationships with clients, colleagues, and all levels of staff and management.

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Two plus years of progressive public accounting experience, with a strong understanding of technical accounting and tax knowledge.
  • University or College Accounting Degree or equivalent experience, with proficiency in Caseware and Taxprep.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
