Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst to join our team at Jay Analytix INC. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, managing data lineage, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality and compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Collibra, data lakes, and advanced data management practices, as well as an interest in emerging technologies like Stivate and Brick.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain data management processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data quality issues and implement solutions.
  • Design and implement data visualization tools to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform data management strategies.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in data management, data lineage capture, data analysis or any other related data programs, with hands-on expertise in:
    • Data lineage, governance processes and data analysis or any other related data programs
    • Experience with data governance and metadata management tools such as Collibra
    • Experience with data manipulation and analysis tools such as Datameer, SQL
    • Experience with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) controls and compliance
    • Data lakes (Azure Data Lake, AWS Lake Formation, or similar)
    • Experience handling and deriving information from large data sets.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with both business and technology staff at different levels of seniority.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data analysis
    • Experience with ETL processes and data integration
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
    • Understanding of metadata management and data governance best practices
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
