IT Support Specialist - Alternative Fuel TechnologyReporting to the Manager, Desktop Support, this role will provide essential technical support to our team of engineers, technicians, and administrative staff across North America.
Position PurposeAs an IT Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for resolving user issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. Your expertise in troubleshooting and problem-solving will ensure a seamless and productive work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Tier-1 technical support to users across North America via phone and email, delivering prompt and efficient customer service.
- Collaborate with other IT support staff in a team environment to resolve complex issues and share knowledge.
- Maintain accurate records of all IT hardware and software assets, ensuring inventory management is up-to-date.
- Communicate technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical users.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT documentation and knowledge base articles.
- 5+ years of experience providing IT support in a corporate environment.
- IT certifications, diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience using IT service delivery tools and knowledge-based systems.
- Strong technical expertise in supporting Windows 10, MS Office 365, and basic experience with Apple OS.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as MS PowerShell or batch files.
- Experience with MS Teams and SharePoint.
- Proficiency in MS Excel for generating reports and analyzing data.
- Intermediate to advanced networking knowledge, including experience with Meraki or Cisco Systems.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of managing Apple and Android mobile devices in MDM.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Fluent in English.
