Job Summary:

09 Irving Oil Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts and Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the Information and Technology category, leading sourcing initiatives, procuring assets and managing supplier contracts, relationships and performance across a variety of business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement multi-year category sourcing strategies utilizing best practices.
  • Manage the strategic sourcing process, including RFx initiatives, proposal evaluations, negotiation strategies, contract negotiations, execution, and maintenance.
  • Facilitate internal Total Cost of Ownership reduction initiatives and identify savings opportunities.
  • Manage contracts and supplier relationships, including the development and implementation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and increased value.
  • Implement supply management methodologies, processes, policies and procedures.
  • Assist with mentoring / learning / coaching with junior and intermediate members of the team.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in business, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience negotiating and managing IT contracts is a requirement.
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation or other similar designation an asset.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain Management.
  • Financial acumen would be considered an asset.
  • Experience working in the oil and gas industry is an asset.
