Paladin Security is a leading provider of healthcare security solutions. We are seeking an experienced Dispatch Operator to join our team in Toronto, Canada.

About the Job

The successful candidate will oversee the state-of-the-art healthcare Control Centre, monitoring multiple systems including fire and life safety, access control, and CCTV. They will assist in tracking and deploying security staff and handle various dispatch duties such as incident call taking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatch security guards to incidents, requests for assistance, emergencies, etc.
  • Maintain control of access to and from the property.
  • Log details of radio transmissions, telephone calls, and verbal instructions.
  • Direct backup support as necessary.
  • Inform management of major incidents.
  • Maintain the Camera Surveillance System.
  • Answer all incoming security telephone lines, including the complex emergency telephone line.
  • Ensure that security operations occur consistently with policy and procedures.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism.
  • Have at least 1-2 years of prior dispatch or industry-related experience.
  • Experience in healthcare is considered an asset.
  • Have a strong command and fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Be able to handle stress and pressure and make sound decisions under duress.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail/observational awareness.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence and the ability to work productively and efficiently in a team.
What You Need to Succeed
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of dispatch experience.
  • A working knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
