We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook 3 - Casual to join our culinary team at Fairmont Pacific Rim. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

What You'll Be Doing

In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes, maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen, and adhering to our rigorous food safety standards. Your ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage your time effectively will be essential in ensuring seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook meals to order, adhering to Fairmont standards and presentation guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, including storage areas and equipment
  • Adhere to food safety protocols and procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure safe food handling practices
  • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies or concerns to management
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff members to achieve smooth service delivery and meet guest expectations
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar position within a luxury hotel or restaurant environment
  • Strong knife skills and ability to perform a variety of cuts consistently
  • Able to read, understand, and follow recipes and prep lists accurately
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
  • Food Safety Certification (an asset)
  • Physical fitness to stand for long periods and lift 20 kg regularly
