Job Title: Marine Repair Technician

We are seeking a skilled Marine Repair Technician to join our team at C.T. INLET MARINE REPAIRS INC.

Job Summary:

The Marine Repair Technician will be responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on marine vessels, including electrical and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of marine systems and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Electrical System Repair: Adjust, repair or replace electrical system parts to ensure safe and efficient operation of marine vessels.
  • Mechanical System Repair: Adjust, repair or replace mechanical system parts to ensure safe and efficient operation of marine vessels.
  • Fault Diagnosis: Diagnose and isolate faults on engines to determine the cause of malfunctions.
  • Documentation: Document inspection and test results made on engines to ensure accurate records.
  • Cost Estimation: Estimate repair costs to ensure accurate billing and customer satisfaction.
  • Blueprint Reading: Read blueprints to determine work requirements and ensure accurate completion of tasks.
  • Work Order Review: Review work orders to ensure accurate completion of tasks and customer satisfaction.
  • Apprentice Training: Instruct apprentices on marine repair techniques and best practices.
  • Scheduled Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance and service on marine vessels to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Customer Communication: Advise customers on work performed and condition of equipment to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Equipment Testing: Test and adjust repaired equipment for proper performance to ensure customer satisfaction.
