Job Description

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a relevant role, ideally from an accounting firm or industry, with a strong focus on IFRS reporting and a CPA designation. They will possess strong analytical skills and technical accounting knowledge, particularly in IFRS. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders, are essential for this role.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of driving process improvements and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency. They will be able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and have advanced proficiency in Excel, with experience in financial modeling and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee internal financial reporting and prepare half-year and full-year financial statements under IFRS for the Head Office (HO).
  • Manage the IFRS audit process, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of information to auditors and adherence to audit timelines.
  • Stay updated on IFRS changes and provide strategic business insights on compliance.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of financial reporting policies and procedures.
  • Lead tasks related to monthly forecasts, quarterly closes, annual budgets, and multi-year financial planning.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate financial reporting processes to improve data quality and efficiency.
  • Manage internal audit requests and maintain financial reporting procedures in line with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis, clearly explaining variances to senior management.
  • Work with tax and legal advisors on corporate restructuring and contribute to the production of the Annual Report.
