Salary: The annual salary range for this position is estimated to be between $100,000 and $110,000.

Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a General Manager – Food Manufacturing & Sales, where you will play a pivotal role in guiding our organization through a period of growth and expansion.

You will oversee operations, drive success, and foster a positive work environment, ensuring operational excellence and achieving organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Senior Leadership to establish objectives for the division and formulate or approve policies and programs within the Food Manufacturing division
  • Oversee Marketing and Sales activities to meet annual targets
  • Build and develop an effective management team capable of executing the company's identified goals
  • Plan, direct, and evaluate all marketing and sales activities to meet annual targets
  • Oversee activities directly related to the manufacturing and supply of products, to meet all delivery timelines and quality expectations
  • Implement and drive lean manufacturing concepts throughout the manufacturing process
  • Maintain all standards as outlined by CFIA requirements
  • Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas requiring improvement and correction
  • Identify, analyze, and implement cost reduction strategies that contribute to the production facility's efficient and profitable operation through continuous improvement activity
  • Understand, implement, and enforce the company's safety and environmental programs at all times
  • Study market research and trends to determine consumer demand, potential sales volumes, and the effect of competitors' operations on sales
  • Represent the company, or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the company, in negotiations or at other official functions
  • Monitor and recommend capital expenses and identify preventative maintenance opportunities
  • Champion new projects and initiatives, designed to maximize profitability
  • Be an advocate for the company's Purpose, vision and values to all team members and stakeholders

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-Secondary Education from an accredited university or college in Business Administration, Operation Management, Food Processing, Food Industry Management or related field of study
  • 3 years of Sales & Marketing Experience Required
  • Five to ten years of experience in management within a food manufacturing environment
  • Experience working within a CFIA Certified environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on leadership ability
  • Six Sigma Certification preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Financial planning and budgeting experience
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
