Strategic Facilities Director

At BC Place, a leading venue for live events, we create unforgettable moments and world-class experiences. As Western Canada's premier event space, we host a diverse range of events, from sports and concerts to consumer shows and more. We're seeking a Strategic Facilities Director to oversee all operational aspects of the stadium, ensuring best-in-class performance for various events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive facilities strategy aligned with organizational goals, focusing on sustainability, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations, ensuring all mechanical systems are maintained to high standards and meet safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor a diverse team of facility managers, professional trades, conversion specialists, and technicians, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and contract compliance.
  • Utilize data and performance metrics to drive decision-making and improve facility operations, implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
  • Develop and manage the stadium facilities budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and effective cost control measures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or professional trade.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in facility operations management, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of facility management principles, building systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
