Exhibit Installation and Project Management Specialist

Stevens E3 is seeking a highly skilled Exhibit Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the setup and dismantling of exhibits, as well as working in our carpentry shop to fabricate exhibit elements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications
  • Create verified pull lists and identify crating requirements
  • Assemble/stage exhibit or product for client viewing and quality control
  • Disassemble staged exhibits, pack effectively and safely, and create bill of materials
  • Transport product
  • Install and dismantle exhibits
  • Assign job tasks and communicate relevant information/expected results to show service personnel on-site
  • Motivate on-site staff
  • Implement and ensure adherence to Health and Safety policies
  • Arrange special requests of clients
  • Supervise on-site show labour
  • Handle on-site problems
  • Recommend cost-saving measures
  • Problem solve on-site
Administration:
  • Complete reports concerning field service jobs including service contractor forms
  • Prepare outbound labels/bills of lading and submit paperwork to show management
  • Document on-site changes and associated costs for client approval
  • Complete reports concerning field services jobs
Construct and Repair Exhibits:
  • Fabricate components in accordance with time-frame available
  • Laminate and finish according to specifications
  • Use tools for measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling materials
Ensure Operation of Carpentry Equipment:
  • Complete preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions
  • Evaluate new equipment and techniques and make recommendations to management
Maintain Safe and Clean Working Environment:
  • Comply with all rules and regulations
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Completion of secondary school
  • Completion of a three to four year apprenticeship program
  • A combination of over four years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in carpentry
  • Valid passport and ability to travel within Canada and the United States
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Ability to operate under significant time constraints and pressure
  • Working knowledge of exhibit construction and materials
  • Carpentry experience an asset
