Collision Repair Apprentice

The Collision Repair Apprentice plays a pivotal role in enhancing store efficiency by undertaking small repairs and collaborating with Licensed Technicians. This position entails performing minor shop maintenance tasks as part of its responsibilities.
Accountability & Responsibility of Position- Upon receiving a vehicle assignment, review work order line items and parts to be replaced in conjunction with the repair planner.
- Completely dismantle the damaged area of the vehicle, including blend panel parts, to identify hidden damage.
- Return unnecessary parts to the parts coordinator upon completion of repairs.
- All work must be verified and checked by the Production Manager.
- Verify the quality checklist on the computer and move the vehicle to the next stage.
- Clean and sweep the production stall. Position the next vehicle in the appropriate stall and restart the process.
- Complete minor maintenance tasks as directed by the Store Manager.
- Stock all received inventory.
- Familiarity with Mitchell/Audatex/Reynolds systems.
- A registered 2nd to 3rd year Apprentice with AIT.
- Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Excellent teamwork and positive work ethic.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a constantly changing environment.
- Highly organized; ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments.
- Effective prioritization, organization, and planning skills.
- Strong communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
- Motivated and able to follow instructions.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
