About the Opportunity:
Lambton College of Applied Arts & Technology invites applications from qualified and passionate individuals interested in teaching Communications courses on a part-time basis for the School of Business, pending sufficient enrolment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment;
• Develop and/or update curriculum materials;
• Deliver innovative course instruction that utilizes a variety of teaching and assessment methodologies aligned with curriculum standards and the College's academic direction.
• Design, administer, and evaluate student assessments, providing detailed feedback;
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and facilitate student success;
• Communicate effectively with students in a timely manner;
• Adhere to the Academic Calendar, Standards of Teaching Practice, and College policies and procedures.
Requirements:
Qualified candidates will possess a minimum of an Honours Bachelor's degree in English or a related field, with preference for a Master's degree in English or a related field.
Preference will be given to candidates with teaching and/or training experience, demonstrating a proven application of adult learning principles and teaching/assessment methodologies, curriculum design, and development.
The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, independent worker who thrives in a student-centred, team environment, possessing superior communication, team building, leadership, and computer skills.
Candidates should be passionate about teaching, exhibit an entrepreneurial spirit, and be committed to preparing students to contribute meaningfully to their local and global communities.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment and capacity for teaching excellence, student engagement, continuous quality improvement, sustainability, global citizenship, and equity, diversity & inclusion.
