Mortgage Broker Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Mortgage Broker to join our team at VERICO. As a Mortgage Broker, you will be responsible for developing and growing our residential mortgage business through third-party referral sources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Closing mortgage loans with borrowers
  • Explaining mortgage loan options to borrowers
  • Researching mortgage rates and determining the best rate for borrowers
  • Meeting with prospective borrowers to identify their needs and financial goals
  • Explaining the loan process to prospective borrowers
  • Helping borrowers apply for a mortgage loan
  • Working directly with clients to obtain a new mortgage, refinance an existing loan, or obtain a second mortgage
What We Offer:

We offer a 100% commission pay structure, which means your future is in your own hands. There is no cap on how much you can earn or make. You will have access to an industry-leading suite of mortgage products, including HELOC products such as FlexLine, STEP, and ManulifeONE. You will also have the opportunity to work with a dedicated underwriter who will provide one-touch service for underwriting, condition fulfillment, and deal escalation.

Requirements:

We are looking for a Mortgage Broker with 1 year of experience in the mortgage industry. A FSRA Mortgage Agent License is preferred. You will be required to work variable hours, including evenings and weekends. You must be willing to conduct mortgage seminars and build your own marketing program.

We are only hiring for Ontario Agents in the following locations: Barrie, Innisfil, Orillia, Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Alliston, Newmarket, Aurora, Bradford, Maple, Richmond Hill, Markham, Woodbridge, Toronto, Scarborough, Mississauga, Milton, Ottawa West, London, Hamilton, Windsor, Oshawa, Ajax, Pickering, Durham.

Pay: Commission, Plus Bonuses

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
