Medical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, BC. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of duties, including routine and complex tests, data entry, and instrument maintenance.

About the Role
- Perform routine and complex tests, utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments
- Enter data into the Lab Information System (LIS) and related systems
- Validate and report test results
- Maintain instruments, prepare solutions and control agents
- Contribute to training, evaluation and improvement programs

Cariboo Memorial Hospital is a Level 2, 31 bed community hospital serving Williams Lake and surrounding communities. Our emergency department operates 24/7, handling over 21,000 visits per year. We offer a range of acute care specialties and allied health services.

Qualifications
- Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program
- Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS
- One (1) year recent related experience
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
