Are you passionate about creating meaningful experiences for seniors? Do you have a knack for planning engaging activities and programs? We're seeking a skilled Activation Aide to join our team at Fountain View Community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and plan activities, programs, and events that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Facilitate programs, including small and large groups, and special events that promote socialization, entertainment, and wellness.
  • Conduct resident assessments, establish goals, and develop interventions to address their unique needs and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of programming, including assessments, attendance, progress notes, care plans, and quarterly reviews.
  • Collaborate with other therapy programs, such as pet therapy, music therapy, and art therapy, to connect residents with the community.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in activation, recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, or a related field.
  • Current Standard and/or Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • Food Handlers Certificate is required.
  • Previous experience in program planning, documentation, and evaluation is essential.
  • All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
