Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Activation Aide to join our team at St. George Community. As an Activation Aide, you will play a critical role in enhancing the lives of our residents by planning and coordinating activities, programs, and events that promote socialization, engagement, and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and plan activities, programs, and events that meet the needs and interests of our residents.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure seamless program delivery.
- Prepare and maintain program materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Document program participation, attendance, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other therapy programs to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach to resident care.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and goals of St. George Community.
Requirements:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, kinesiology, gerontology, or a related field.
- Current Standard and/or Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Valid Food Handlers Certificate.
- Previous experience in program planning, documentation, and evaluation.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Competency in Point Click Care and MS Office.
- Experience working with seniors and individuals with diverse needs and abilities.
