Job Description

The Senior Payroll Administrator will be responsible for managing the administration of payroll for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate execution of payroll reconciliation reports and schedules. The role will involve maintaining payroll records in the HRIS system, making recommendations to improve scalability and efficiency, administering Retirement programs, reviewing employee agreements, and assisting with benefit questions.

This position requires strong knowledge of payroll processes, including preparation of quarterly bonus compensation plans, reconciliations, and tax form preparation. The successful candidate will also oversee monitoring of email and Workday inbox, responding to internal and external inquiries and tickets, and creating operating manuals for payroll and insurance processes. Strong research skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll administration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain payroll records in the HRIS system.
  • Administer Retirement programs.
  • Review employee agreements and ensure secure custody.
  • Assist with benefit questions and extended Health and Dental plans.
  • Prepare quarterly bonus compensation plans and calculations.
  • Reconcile payroll and manage information flow to the general ledger.
  • Prepare provincial and federal reporting and remittances.
  • Prepare year-end reconciliations and tax form preparation.

Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of Payroll experience
- Experience using Workday (preferred)
- US or Global payroll experience (preferred)
