Your Role and Responsibilities
As a North America Product Line Manager, you will be a key member of the Emergency Lighting management team, developing and defining product roadmaps for your dedicated region contributing directly to the growth of the organization. You will report to the EML NAM Business Manager and drive the life cycle of products, systems, or services, including development, launch, maintenance, pricing and profitability of Emergency Lighting business line in North America.
This role is part of the Electrification, Smart Buildings division of ABB and is located in Dorval, Quebec. The work model is hybrid with 2 to 3 days per week at the office.
Main Responsibilities:
- Driving growth and profitability through establishing Product Strategic Plan for each product categories, by covered countries while ensuring they aligned with company objectives
- Working closely with R&D to propose and evaluate product feasibility projects and roadmaps for new Emergency Lighting products and services
- Monitoring revenues and sales trends and communicate with cross-functional manufacturing team, forecasted fluctuations providing the ability to meet customer needs, while ensuring profitable levels of inventory
- Ensuring set KPIs are reached on the life cycle of Emergency Lighting products and services
- Structuring pricing guidelines & market positioning to optimize organic growth and expand into new segments
- Providing technical and commercial assistance to the sales teams
- Working closely with the HR team to ensure that the product team are properly organized, staffed, and directed for the covered region.
- Guiding, coaching, and developing the skills and knowledge of the marketing & sales teams
Qualifications and Skills
- More than 10 years of experience in a similar function, with strong technology background and a good understanding of the electrical construction/lighting industry
- Sound knowledge of lighting products and IoT solutions
- Demonstrated experience of managing product strategy and product team
- Knowledge and experience of related products and solutions development in an agile organization
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach, with strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A bachelor degree of engineering, or equivalent experience
- French and English bilingualism, spoken and written is an asset. English is necessary to communicate with clients outside of Quebec.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated annual salary range for this position is between $120,000 to $180,000 CAD, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. Additionally, ABB offers a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plan, healthcare plan, accident insurance, wellbeing program, and more.
