About the Role
Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a skilled Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Bella Coola General Hospital. As a Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of routine and complex tests utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments within a designated laboratory area.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
- Participate in departmental training programs and stay up-to-date with new technologies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely test results.

The Clinical Laboratory team at Bella Coola General Hospital is a dynamic and supportive team that values collaboration and teamwork. Qualifications
