Job Title: Truck Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled truck driver to join our team at AK Transit. As a truck driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials
  • Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and perform regular inspections
  • Communicate with central dispatch and relay information
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, and fuel consumption
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections

Requirements:

  • Valid commercial driver's license
  • Experience in truck driving
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Working Conditions:

  • May require overtime and flexible scheduling
  • May involve repetitive tasks and sitting for extended periods
