Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employees requiring technical assistance via phone, email, or chat
  • Utilize remote troubleshooting techniques to diagnose issues efficiently
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance to customers throughout the problem-solving process

Issue Resolution and Escalation

  • Document events, problems, and resolutions in logs
  • Follow up with customers to update their status and information
  • Share customer feedback and suggestions with internal teams
  • Identify opportunities for procedural improvements

Maintenance and Updates

  • Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
  • Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems

Training and Documentation

  • Offer orientation and guidance to users on operating new software and equipment
  • Schedule upgrades and maintenance without disrupting others' work
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports documenting system operations

Collaboration and Communication

  • Maintain open communication and positive working relationships with staff
  • Proactively inform team members about incidents or updates
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to improvement strategies

Requirements

  • Proven experience in helpdesk or customer support roles
  • Tech-savvy with knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control
  • Familiarity with computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
  • Proficiency in Windows 10, Windows 11, Office Suite, Office 365, and Active Directory
  • Understanding of backup systems like Veeam Backup and similar solutions
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer-oriented and composed under pressure
  • Level 1, 2 technician certification
  • 1-3 years of experience
  • Network+ / A+ certification is an asset
  • Able to travel between Montreal and Quebec as required (5-10% of the time)
