Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees requiring technical assistance via phone, email, or chat
- Utilize remote troubleshooting techniques to diagnose issues efficiently
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to customers throughout the problem-solving process
Issue Resolution and Escalation
- Document events, problems, and resolutions in logs
- Follow up with customers to update their status and information
- Share customer feedback and suggestions with internal teams
- Identify opportunities for procedural improvements
Maintenance and Updates
- Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
- Ensure the security and privacy of networks and computer systems
Training and Documentation
- Offer orientation and guidance to users on operating new software and equipment
- Schedule upgrades and maintenance without disrupting others' work
- Prepare accurate and timely reports documenting system operations
Collaboration and Communication
- Maintain open communication and positive working relationships with staff
- Proactively inform team members about incidents or updates
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to improvement strategies
Requirements
- Proven experience in helpdesk or customer support roles
- Tech-savvy with knowledge of office automation products, databases, and remote control
- Familiarity with computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues
- Proficiency in Windows 10, Windows 11, Office Suite, Office 365, and Active Directory
- Understanding of backup systems like Veeam Backup and similar solutions
- Excellent communication skills
- Customer-oriented and composed under pressure
- Level 1, 2 technician certification
- 1-3 years of experience
- Network+ / A+ certification is an asset
- Able to travel between Montreal and Quebec as required (5-10% of the time)
