IT Support Specialist

New Value Solutions (NVS) is seeking a highly skilled Tier 2/3 IT Support Specialist. This role involves providing technical support, managing IT equipment, user administration, and handling network-related tasks. The candidate will also act as a backup for the IT Service Manager and support the company's IT infrastructure across Quebec and Ontario, with occasional travel for urgent work. This is a full-time, onsite position with no remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Technical Support & IT Operations
- Primary point of contact for all IT support requests, resolving issues where possible and escalating when needed.
- Provide Tier 2/3 technical support via phone, Jira tickets, Teams, and SCCM.
- Act as a backup for the IT Service Manager at the Pointe-aux-Trembles office.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently.
- IT Equipment Management & Deployment
- Perform laptop imaging and configuration of mobile devices and tablets (Kiosk mode).
- Enroll and manage devices in Microsoft Intune.
- User & Access Management
- Administer accounts in Active Directory, Intune, and Exchange Online.
- Manage user enrollment via BTC Portal, Mobiles, and Entrapass (access control system).
- Networking & Infrastructure Support
- Perform basic network troubleshooting, including cable repair, network points, and patching.
- Assist with switch installation under the supervision of the network administrator.
- Additional Technical Responsibilities
- Handle various Tier 2/3 level IT tasks a s required.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in a technology-related field.
- Minimum 5 years of IT support experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Windows troubleshooting.
- Proven experience in IT support and infrastructure management.
- Technical expertise in IT and network management tools
- Excellent communication skills in French and English , written and spoken.
- Capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, M365, Exchange Online.
- SCCM, Teams, Jira ticketing system.
- Networking basics (patching, switch installation, cable repair).
- Ability to work independently while supporting multiple locations.
- Flexibility to travel across Quebec and Ontario based on project urgency.
