At the Parliament of Canada, we are seeking a skilled Digital Media Systems Specialist to join our Digital Media and Connected Systems team. This team is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and installing multimedia systems and technologies, including video, audio, security, controls, and other systems.

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering Technician or a related field, and a minimum of two years of experience in technical support and problem-solving for a wide range of EISS equipment and systems. They will also have experience in the design, testing, and implementation of systems and equipment to respond to unique client requirements and event support parameters.

The Digital Media Systems Specialist will work closely with the team to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 client support for the installation, maintenance, and urgent problem-solving of systems. They will also assist with the management of small- to medium-sized projects, helping to define requirements, designing, documenting, testing, creating, and implementing technical solutions and systems.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have a strong understanding of various technical equipment, including intrusion, access control, video surveillance, physical barriers, intercoms, and communication devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and problem-solving for a wide range of EISS equipment and systems
  • Design, test, and implement systems and equipment to respond to unique client requirements and event support parameters
  • Assist with the management of small- to medium-sized projects
  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 client support for the installation, maintenance, and urgent problem-solving of systems

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering Technician or a related field
