At SMATS Traffic Solutions Inc., we're looking for a skilled Digital Marketing & Content Development Specialist to help us enhance our brand's online presence.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in both content creation and digital marketing while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Creation & Management:
  • Develop and manage engaging blog posts, social media content, newsletters, and website copy that align with our brand messaging and target the appropriate audience.
  • Conduct research to develop relevant and engaging content topics that meet our clients' needs.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure content is edited and proofread for accuracy and quality.
  • Digital Marketing Support:
  • Design and execute digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including email, social media, and search engines.
  • Manage social media accounts, including content scheduling, community engagement, and performance tracking.
  • Create basic graphic designs and visuals for digital marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics, such as website traffic and social media engagement.
  • SEO & Analytics:
  • Optimize content for SEO, including keyword research and meta-data management.
  • Assist in analyzing campaign performance and suggesting improvements based on data insights.
  • Track website analytics to inform future content strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Knowledge of digital marketing principles, SEO, and content management systems (CMS).
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
  • Ability to use basic graphic design tools, such as Canva and Adobe Spark.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Analytical mindset with a desire to learn about performance metrics and data analysis.
  • Acquire and maintain product and industry knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Hubspot or equivalent is a plus.
  • Detailed-oriented, curious, reliable, and strong work ethic.
