We are a leading consulting firm seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Industrial Procurement Specialist - Metal Fabrication. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities related to metal fabrication and precision machining.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing procurement activities related to metal fabrication and precision machining;
  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies to meet business objectives;
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors;
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of procurement activities;
  • Analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Business or a related field, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or equivalent;
  • Completion of PMAC certification, an asset;
  • Experience and knowledge of metal fabrication and precision machining, an asset;
  • Ability to read technical drawings, including BOMs and CAD;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP systems;
  • Knowledge of ISO programs;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work day shift and stay late, as required;
  • Initiative to problem-solve and provide solutions;
  • Extensive use of computer software.
