CAD Specification Specialist Job Description

At Global Furniture Group, we are seeking a highly skilled CAD Specification Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical design and specification services for our global products using the AutoCAD platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate 2-D and 3-D drawings for furniture projects and opportunities of various sizes.
  • Create renderings of projects as needed.
  • Provide technical information and support to our dealers and sales representatives.
  • Review and determine criteria for projects to create a bill of materials.
  • Acquire extensive product knowledge and stay up to date with all changes in products to accurately specify projects assigned.

Requirements:

  • Interior Design experience and/or CAD drafting degree or related experience preferred.
  • CET experience preferred.
  • AutoCAD and CAP studio experience preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects/tasks with deadlines.
  • Goal-driven qualities that enable projects to be completed on time.
  • Strong attention to detail with a technical mindset – accuracy of project completion and application of product knowledge is imperative to success.
  • Rendering experience desired but not required.
  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
