Job Title: CAD Designer - Roofing and Waterproofing Specialist

Duration: 3 months
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CAD designer with expertise in roofing and waterproofing details to join our team as a CAD Designer - Roofing and Waterproofing Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing plans, communicating with design authorities and end-users, and creating custom expansion joint details.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review of Plans: The CAD Designer will review plans, details, and specifications for upcoming projects focused on roofing and waterproofing details.
  • Communication: The CAD Designer will communicate with design authorities and end-users regarding the specifics of expansion joints configurations.
  • Expansion Joint Layouts: The CAD Designer will prepare expansion joint layouts on AutoCAD for quoting purposes based on reviewed expansion joints layouts by design authorities or customers.
  • Custom Details: The CAD Designer will create custom expansion joint details for non-standard conditions on a project-to-project basis.
  • Collaboration: The CAD Designer will work alongside other drafting technicians to coordinate workload and collaborate on more demanding projects as needed.
  • Deliverables: The CAD Designer will maintain organized and timely deliverables for sales and production departments.
  • Communication Deadlines: The CAD Designer will communicate deadlines and timelines clearly and consistently with sales and quotations departments.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency: The CAD Designer must be proficient in 2D AutoCAD with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
  • Language Fluency: Fluency in English is a must.
  • Technical Discussion: The CAD Designer must be able to discuss details at a technical level with customers and design authorities.
  • Blueprint Reading: The CAD Designer must be able to read architectural drawings/blueprints.
  • Reliability: A reliable and keen eye to detail is essential.
Estimated Salary:

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
