About the Role

We are seeking a Part Time Intervenor to support individuals who are deafblind in their daily lives. As an Intervenor, you will play a vital role in enabling individuals to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals in their home and community environments, using communication techniques to relay information and empower them to participate and be successful in all aspects of daily living.
  • Provide personal care as required, including lifts and transfers, toileting, personal hygiene, medication administration, and other tasks.
  • Assist with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives, and ensure documentation and records are complete.
Requirements
  • Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or a related human services field.
  • Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors, as well as mental health conditions.
  • Communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
  • A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
