Full Time Intervenor to Support Deafblind Individuals

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Full Time Intervenor to join our team at Sensity Deafblind and Sensory Support Network of Canada. As an Intervenor, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are deafblind in their daily lives, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Supporting individuals in their home and community environments, using communication techniques to relay information and empower them to participate and be successful in all aspects of daily living.
- Providing personal care as required, including lifts and transfers, toileting, personal hygiene, medication administration, and other tasks.
- Assisting with developing and supporting individual goals and objectives, and ensuring documentation and records are complete.
- Collaborating with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to supporting individuals with dual sensory impairment.
- Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program, or a related human services field.
- Experience supporting persons with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
- Experience supporting persons with mental health conditions.
- Communication in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
- A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
- A competitive wage starting at $23.03/hour.
