Job Title:

Academic Position in Israeli Studies

Job Summary:

The Faculty of Arts and Science at the University of Toronto invites applications for a full-time tenure stream position in Israeli Studies. The appointment will be at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Israeli Studies
  • Conduct research in modern Israel and Jewish Studies
  • Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral fellows
  • Participate in departmental and faculty service
Requirements:
  • PhD degree in a social science discipline or related field
  • Research and teaching portfolio with a focus on modern Israel and Jewish Studies
  • Exceptional record of research and teaching excellence
  • Experience in research supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Established international reputation in the field of Israeli Studies
  • Ability to cross disciplinary boundaries
  • Experience in teaching and research in a university setting
