About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Enterprise Risk Management to join our Legal team at Lightspeed Commerce. As a key member of our organization, you will report to the Assistant General Counsel & Head of Litigation and Enterprise Risk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an enterprise-wide risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across all business units.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify emerging risks and trends that may impact our organization.
  • Build and maintain risk frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure effective risk management.
  • Evaluate and leverage risk management software to mature our enterprise risk management program.
  • Develop methodologies for monitoring enterprise risks, including establishing and tracking key risk indicators.
  • Support the reporting of risk monitoring outcomes and key risk indicators to our Executive Leadership Team and Risk Committee.
  • Manage risk documentation and infrastructure, including the enterprise risk register, risk taxonomy, and risk KPIs.
  • Train and educate employees to create a culture of risk management organization-wide.
  • Embed our enterprise risk management program into our organization's strategic planning and build key relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Support compliance functions as necessary to further our risk management culture.
  • Provide expertise on risk management standards and best practices to meet regulatory and compliance requirements.

Requirements:

  • University degree in business, risk management, law, finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience managing an enterprise risk management program.
  • Presentation skills to communicate risks and risk management strategies to Executive Leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Risk management certifications are considered an asset.
  • Past implementation of risk management software and processes is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work in a flexible hybrid environment.
