About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join our Analytical Development team at AbCellera. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of platform analytical methods for use across the analytical functions in Process Development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and qualify analytical methods for use in QC lot release and process development activities
  • Establish highly resolving methods to support QC lot release and high-throughput methods to support process development activities
  • Perform routine analyses of samples in support of monoclonal antibody process development
  • Generate high-quality data in support of method development, qualification, and product characterization
  • Aggregate and present analytical data to stakeholders across CMC and Discovery teams
  • Research and evaluate technological advances in the field of analytical chemistry
Requirements
  • B.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline with 2-5 years of experience or an M.Sc. and 2 years of experience
  • Experience working in areas of therapeutic protein characterization in either academia or industry
  • Proven technical ability to execute and troubleshoot experiments through rational and critical thinking
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in order to meet critical timelines
  • Familiarity with electronic lab notebooks (e.g., Benchling), experimental data capture, and 21 CFR part 11 compliance requirements
  • Outstanding communication, team player, and relationship builder skills
