Maintenance Team Lead

As a key member of the Halton Region team, the Maintenance Team Lead - Treatment Plant will provide leadership to the trade's teams within the treatment plants and be responsible for all proactive and reactive work processes in their area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the team towards excellence in safety, maintenance management, reliability, and problem prevention.
- Champion Maintenance Management and Reliability Engineering good practice.
- Ensure Trade staff and Contract partners have the necessary skills, training, and supports to safely and effectively execute work on time.
- Monitor maintenance expenditures and ensure that budget guidelines are met.
- Provide daily leadership and be responsible for eliminating risk, performance losses, and unplanned cost, and be responsible for work that directly improves equipment meantime between failures (MTBF) and meantime between repairs (MTRR).
- Supervise and support activities across a diverse group of unionized staff requiring effective performance management, communication, dispute resolution, and negotiation skills in accordance with Corporate Policies and Collective Agreement language.
Requirements
- A skilled trade certificate of qualification, technical diploma, or degree with a minimum of five (5) years' experience supervising a large cross-functional Maintenance team in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, SAP PM or similar, and work order management processes.
- Excellent collaboration, team building, organizational, leadership, and critical thinking skills.
