Help Desk Technician Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Help Desk Technician to join our team at MBI I.T. Services. As a Help Desk Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to our clients, ensuring that their IT needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and assistance to clients via phone, email, and in-person
  • Generate detailed incident tickets and determine the level of urgency/severity of the problem
  • Resolve technical issues at the first level whenever possible
  • Assist staff at voting locations with technical support over the phone
  • Manage complaints and provide general technical support and information
Requirements:
  • Available to work extended hours, including weekends and evenings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High School Diploma + College or university enrollment/degree
  • 1-5 Years' experience in the IT Tech Support/Help Desk service industry
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals, procedural documentation, and OEM guides
  • Technical knowledge of hardware, Windows 7, and Windows 10 operating systems
  • Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems, and standards
  • No Criminal Record
  • Eligible to work in Canada
Nice to Have:
  • College diploma or university degree in computer science and/or information technologies
  • CompTIA A+ Certifications
