At Otter Co-op, we're seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at the Highwayman Pub South Surrey. As a key member of our hospitality team, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and providing top-notch beverage service.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a positive and friendly guest experience, ensuring that every customer feels welcome and valued.
- Take beverage orders from customers or servers and serve drinks as requested, maintaining a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
- Keep a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, and glassware, ensuring that our customers have access to a wide range of options.
- Maintain a positive attitude while providing an exemplary guest experience, always striving to exceed customer expectations.
- Clean, restock, and ensure that all equipment is sanitized and prepared for the next shift, adhering to our high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Navigate and operate the POS System with ease, accurately processing transactions and managing cash handling.
- Contribute to the team in living our corporate Values of Integrity, Community, and Excellence, embodying our commitment to excellence in every aspect of our business.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Previous bartending experience is an asset, but not required.
- Knowledge and appreciation for beer and wine pairings is an asset, but not necessary.
- Valid Serving it Right Certificate is required.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a team setting as well as independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong work ethic, with a commitment to delivering exceptional results and exceeding customer expectations.
- This is a physical job requiring the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- A commitment to a SAFE working environment, with a focus on maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
- Must be 19 years of age or older to be considered.
- This position is based out of the Highwayman Pub South Surrey, though it may require occasional travel and work at other locations as business needs arise.
- Preferred candidates will have open availability and be able to work a variety of shifts 7 days a week.
