Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Major Gifts and Planned Giving to join our Philanthropy team at Rogers Sports & Media. This is a full-time position based in Toronto, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for major gifts and planned giving, with a focus on building long-term relationships with donors and securing significant gifts.
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement fundraising strategies and campaigns.
  • Manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, with a focus on moving them through the donor cycle.
  • Prepare and present proposals, reports, and other materials to donors and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Director, Philanthropy to develop and implement the annual budget and strategic plan for major gifts and planned giving.
  • Provide coaching and support to the Manager, Philanthropy and other team members as needed.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in fundraising, with a focus on major gifts and planned giving.
  • Proven track record of closing gifts at the $100k+ level.
  • Strong experience in strategy development, implementation, and evaluation, as well as budget management.
  • Ability to read and understand financial statements, do calculations, and interpret legal concepts.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to work with donors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficient in fundraising platforms, such as Artez and Classy, as well as Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
