Job Title: Senior Manager, Major Gifts and Planned Giving

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Major Gifts and Planned Giving to join our team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our Philanthropy team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure major gifts and planned giving from individuals, corporations, and foundations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage a portfolio of major gift donors and prospects, with a focus on securing gifts of $100,000+.
  • Collaborate with the Director, Philanthropy to develop and implement a comprehensive planned giving strategy, including the development of marketing materials and stewardship programs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, prospects, and other stakeholders to advance the goals of the Philanthropy team.
  • Work closely with the Programs team to ensure alignment and coordination of fundraising efforts.
  • Manage and analyze data to inform fundraising strategies and tactics.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in fundraising, with a focus on major gifts and planned giving.
  • Proven track record of securing gifts of $100,000+.
  • Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance issues related to charitable giving in Canada and globally.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, prospects, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and coordination.
