Operations Excellence Manager

Position Overview
The Operations Excellence Manager will oversee a shift of hourly associates in achieving Safety, Quality, and Production goals. This role reports directly to the Production Superintendent.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise production assets to improve efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction by monitoring equipment, employees, and raw materials.
- Analyze and recommend changes to machinery, equipment, and production systems to enhance productivity.
- Report any system deficiencies or issues to the Plant Manager/Production Superintendent immediately.
- Document and report product damage/nonconformities to the Plant/Production Superintendent and Quality Supervisor.
- Maintain compliance with Quality Control policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with administrative, plant, and supervisory staff as necessary.
- Maximize safety, product quality, and quantity while maintaining efficiency and cost control for assigned hourly employees on the shift.
- Apply policies, rules, and collective agreements fairly and consistently.
- Communicate effectively with hourly employees.
- Participate in training programs as required.
- Comply with divisional rules, regulations, and policies.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Plant Manager/Production Superintendent.
- Develop metrics to track progress and improvement efforts and work towards achieving targets using these metrics.
- Foster crew engagement/participation in ongoing plant improvement processes.
- Set an example in adhering to the Westlake Code of Business Ethics and Workplace Harassment/Discrimination Policy.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of three to five years of related supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A self-motivated individual with strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
Estimated Annual Salary: $80,000 - $110,000
