About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to join our team at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing high-priority, complex projects that require considerable resources and high levels of functional integration with other large projects or technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate project activities to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished on schedule and within budget according to plan.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with business leads and partners to manage complex projects that deliver strategic business solutions.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and management at various levels to be aware of emerging trends and issues that impact current projects and future plans.
  • Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Resource Management: Estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals and proactively manage changes in project scope, risk, and issue management.
  • Financial Management: Develop, maintain, and monitor project budgets to ensure no costs or resource overruns and track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Reporting and Consultation: Report on project milestones and risks/issues to Project Sponsors and consult with them on new initiatives that will impact strategic direction.
  • Team Management: Manage consultants and vendors regarding their commitments to the program/project and provide guidance and mentoring to project team members.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 5 to 7 years of directly related experience managing complex projects in various industries and environments.
  • Certification: Project Management Certification such as PMP or Prince 2.
