At Roald Smith Construction Inc., we are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and renovating residential and commercial buildings. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong physical abilities, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Fitting and installing windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
  • Instructing apprentices and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Maintaining, repairing, and renovating residences and wooden structures in various settings.
Work Environment

This role requires working at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments. You will be required to wear steel-toed safety boots and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

Requirements
  • 2 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Excellent physical abilities, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliability, accuracy, and client focus.
  • Work Term: Permanent

  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
