Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our Paediatrics Inpatient Unit at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our young patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in the Paediatrics Inpatient Unit
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care
  • Assess, educate, and prevent health issues in patients
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and research in paediatric nursing

Requirements

  • Registered Practical Nursing diploma from a recognized Community College
  • Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
  • Minimum 1-year general paediatric experience
  • Paediatric Health Assessment Course, preferred
  • Breast Feeding Course, preferred
