Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with physicians, staff, and families to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent patient care, assessing, educating, and supporting patients and families in a culturally sensitive manner.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to prioritize patient care demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, staff, volunteers, and families to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Make informed decisions, using critical thinking and problem-solving skills to ensure patient safety and well-being.
- Participate in ongoing learning and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills, contributing to the hospital's academic mandate.
- Diploma in Nursing or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification (BCLS).
- 2 years of Emergency, Critical Care, or Telemetry nursing experience, or 3 years of Medical and Surgical nursing experience.
- Preferred qualifications include IV initiation, Phlebotomy, and Electrocardiogram interpretation skills, as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Paediatric Advanced Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core, and Paediatric Course certifications.
